Development of CO2-Sensitive Viscoelastic Fracturing Fluid for Low Permeability Reservoirs: A Review

چکیده
There are economic and technical challenges to overcome when increasing resource recovery from low permeability reservoirs. For such reservoirs, the hydraulic fracturing plan with development of clean less expensive fluid plays a vital aspect in meeting energy supply chain. Numerous recent published studies have indicated that research on worm-like micelles (WLMs) based viscoelastic surfactant (VES) has progressed substantially. This study looks at CO2-sensitive (CO2-SVFF), its applications, benefits, limitations, drawbacks conventional fluids. The switchable viscoelasticity CO2-SVFF system signifies how reusing this is attained. Compared surfactants, can be switched high viscosity (to fracture formation transporting proppants) (easy removal after causing fracture). effect pH, conductivity, temperature, rheological behaviors CO2-SVFFs also highlighted. Further, aid Gemini surfactants nanoparticles (NPs) concentrations improve extended stability withstand shear rates temperatures during process. These provide insight into future knowledge might lead more environmentally friendly successful low-permeability Despite increased application CO2-SVFFs, there still several (i.e., high-temperature range, pressure, salinity).

Fluid-Leakoff Delineation in High-Permeability Fracturing
Starting from the original concept proposed by Carter, Howard and Fast, this paper reviews the description of fracturing fluid leakoff in view of modeling flow in porous media. It is shown how various linear leakoff models have been developed and why a new, radial leakoff concept is necessary for high-permeability fracturing, where the injection time is commensurable to the response time of the...
متن کاملA new investigation on modeling of permeability reduction during CO2 flooding processes in sandstone oil reservoirs
Permeability reduction in oil reservoirs during primary oil recovery and using the enhanced oil recovery methods are complicated problem which most of the oil field in worlds has encountered. In this work, a modified model based on four phase black oil model (oil, water, gas, and asphaltene) was developed to account permeability reduction during CO2 flooding in cylindrical coordinates around a ...
متن کاملSupport vector regression for prediction of gas reservoirs permeability
Reservoir permeability is a critical parameter for characterization of the hydrocarbon reservoirs. In fact, determination of permeability is a crucial task in reserve estimation, production and development. Traditional methods for permeability prediction are well log and core data analysis which are very expensive and time-consuming. Well log data is an alternative approach for prediction of pe...
متن کاملHydraulic Fracturing of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
A carefully engineered stimulation that makes use of opening mode fractures is an effective way to reduce injection and production impedance and provide better access for the fluid to enter and promote shearing in the main reservoir volume. We present results from field experiments that mapped the fracture geometry for opening mode hydraulic fractures formed in naturally fractured crystalline r...
متن کاملAn Experimental Study of CO2-low Salinity Water Alternating Gas Injection in Sandstone Heavy Oil Reservoirs
Several studies have shown that oil recovery significantly increased by low salinity water flooding (LSWF) in sandstones. However, mechanism of oil recovery improvement is still controversial. CO2 that develops buffer in presence of water is expected as a deterrent factor in LSWF efficiency based on mechanism of IFT reduction due to pH uprising. No bright evidence in literature suppo...
